Hip hop first came to light by Malcolm Maclaren who whilst in the late 70's was walking in New York when he came across a Crew member called Afrika Baambaata . The rest of the crew were called B-Boys who mainly covered everything from graffiti through to Breaking . Which was the first original style of dancing . These dancing "face offs " were called Battles . In the early days this was how disputes were settled .
Then came the explosion of Gangster Rap , which as the title suggests came from the gang war fare that had broken out across the whole of america , and soon spread across the world . The original B-Boy style now faded into nothingness and violent rap and weapons from the "Hood" came into the forefront . From this moment on , Hip Hop was to change forever .
Hip Hop has changed over the years in different ways, like it not just about violence's it about how you feel and how you want to express your self.
It has not changed my culture at all.
