Because without the Moon our ocean's temperature will be very hot, no sea creatures can survive (global warming). And without the Moon, our Earth would spin much faster than it is now, because the Moon's gravity pull on Earth. Plus Moon is our only natural satellite.
Basically, if it disappeared today it wouldn't make a whole lot of difference to us. The tides would only be a third as large as they are today (the sun would still create a tide just it would be smaller). But, where it gets interesting is when you consider what would have happened if the moon never existed. It would have had a few main effects i have gleamed through research:
Firstly, if the moon had never existed the earth would be spinning much faster than it currently does. This is due to the fact that the moon's gravity. This faster rotation speed would have meant that the wind would blow much quicker (I have heard it quoted that wind speeds of 100mph would be normal). This means that evolution would have happened completely differently (as tall trees wouldn't exist and this would greatly limit 'tall' animals). (It is also argued this slowing friction helps keep the Earth at such a pleasant temperature for life)
Secondly, with a much smaller tide it is more unlikely that life would have evolved on land as, a large tidal range gives a good like starting point for sea life to slowly move out of the water. So without the large tidal range the moon provides it is less likely life would have evolved on land. But, even further back than that, a large tidal range (far larger than today as, the moon used to be much closer to the Earth as, the moon has to move away as the Earth's rotation slows to conserve angular momentum) most likely helped life to begin. This is because it helped the chemicals vital for life to reach the ocean (as the only other way by rivers is extremely slow compared to massive tides) which would have allowed life to start to evolve.
Thirdly, the moon has a settling effect on the Earth's axis. It stops the axis of rotation of the Earth rotating wildly about like Mar's axis does for example. This means that the Earth has much more stable climatic conditions (regions don't change temperature year on year for example). This may have again provided the key to life through the stable conditions and slow changes that allow organisms to evolve as the conditions change.
Because without the Moon our ocean's temperature will be very hot, no sea creatures can survive (global warming). And without the Moon, our Earth would spin much faster than it is now, because the Moon's gravity pull on Earth. Plus Moon is our only natural satellite.
It is important to know the phases of the moon, because if some one is asking you about the phases of the moon you can answer him\ her. And also you can share it to your friends, classmates, playmates, siblings, and many more.
Important or not, the moons happen to be there... Anyway, effects caused by moons include reflecting light from the Sun (making the night less dark when they are visible), tides, and - related to the tides - the gradual slowing-down of the planet's rotation.
Your sentence was a little strange but I think I know what you mean. Here are five examples of how the moon is important to us.
1. The moon helps us tell time.
2. Some argue that with the moon's gravitational pull on water tides, life was able to transition on land (evolution-wise).
3. Some argue that the Earth's axis tilt is due to (or at least helped by) the moon.
4. (Not as common) It provides us with metals
5. Inspires art, music, and religious events (ex. Hindu celebration for a lunar eclipse)
moon phases makes oceans have low tide and high tide
because it helps slow down the rotation of earth without the moon a day would of been very short! By:sulenny villa
The moon is important to our lives because if we didn't have the moon the world would be completely dark at nights outside and we couldn't see without candles or lamps!!!!!
The moon controls things on earth. It controls the tides. It is also one of the things upon which are calendar is based, the others being the sun and the earth itself.
the moon was important to the Chinese because it, in a way, helped them win a rebellion
It was the first time that man was trying to leave the planet earth and try to land on the moon, so it was a big attempt to land on the moon.
So makes asks you that question say the sunIt looks like the sun and the moon is more important because they are, but the sun is more important than the moon because it helps the plants to grow how because it gives sunlight. The moon only makes tides on the ocean

The cycle of the moon is important because it effects the tide.
so that you can learn about the moon.
because of worshiping the moon
the moon was important to the Chinese because it, in a way, helped them win a rebellion
cause itd pretty
because at night the moon reflects some of the suns light and that's how we see the moon at night. if you didn't have the moon the sky would be pretty dull

there are so many ways i cant name them all
The cycle of the moon is important because it effects the tide.
The moon is important for research, but is not more important than the sun.
Apollo 11 is important because it was the first time a human had ever set foot on to our Earths moon. It's also important because it shows humans can leave Earth and walk on our moon and then return.
