The Syrians made only minor gains in the early days of the war, but Israelis turned those around and a ceasefire was signed with Israeli tanks in sight of Damascus. There is some debate on whether the Egyptian front was an Israeli or Egyptian victory, but this debate does not carry to the Syrian front.
