B/c there aren't enough organ donors to supply the need for donor hearts.
As of recent estimates, there are approximately 5,000 to 6,000 people worldwide living with artificial hearts. The number may vary as technological advancements and medical practices evolve. Artificial hearts, including total artificial hearts and ventricular assist devices, are primarily used for patients with severe heart failure when other treatment options are not viable. Regular updates from medical organizations may provide more current figures as the field progresses.
an artificial hearts can last from about 5 months to about 5 years
External artificial heart devices have been around since the 1950's. The first mechanical heart was implanted in 1969 for less than three days while the patient was waiting for a transplant. In the 1980's tremendous strides were made in the development of artificial hearts, which is when the Jarvik 7 was invented. That work led to the artificial heart technology which is available today.
Yes. The longest a patient has survived with an artificial heart is 620 days. Artificial hearts are mainly used as a bridge to a transplant.
With an artificial heart or some kind of pump to resemble the actions of the heart. It is possible to 3D-print artificial hearts now.
The best : Alain Carpentier with Carmat of course !
It uses rechargeable batteries... :-D
What do you mean? No, you can't replace organic hearts with your so-called "real hearts". What make them so much realer anyways? You can replace organic hearts with artificial hearts or the other way aroung, but maybe not with the technology we currently have on our planet. I don't see what this has to do with Kingdom Hearts though.
