Polar bears are adapted to live in such a cold climate as they have a thick furry coat over them which keeps them warm. If they did not have that coat the polar bears would freeze to death.
Actually, brown bears don't live in Saskatchewan. Grizzly bears do, which are considered the same species as brown bears, but many consider them different. Temperatures these bears live in range from -10 C to over +30 C.
Existing in a number of races, the brown bear is widespread across North America, Asia, and Europe. With a total worldwide population of over 200,000, it is not considered an endangered species.
There are 8 species currently accepted as bears: North America has American black bears, polar bears, and brown/grizzly bears (which are also in Europe and Asia). South America has only spectacled bears. Asia has sun bears, Eurasian black bears (locally called moon bears), sloth bears, and panda bears. In the past, there has been debate over whether pandas were bears or should be split out, but currently they are considered bears. Brown bears used to live in the Atlas mountains of northern Africa centuries ago, but in modern times no bears live in Africa. Australia has koala bears, but they are marsupials, not true bears.
A brown bear and a large male black bear would win over a boar.
camels have feet that are big but flat this means that their weight is spread out over a big surface area so they do not sink.
Black Bears and Brown Bears DO live in the same area. Living in Alaska, I have seen (about a week ago) a brown bear in an area where I had seen a mother black bear and her cub two days before.
Polar bears have evolved a white coloration over time as it aacted as a sort of camouflage. It allows them to blend in with the snow, making it difficult for theyr prey to see them.
Both polar and brown bears can weigh over 1500 pounds for an adult male.
Brown bears range in weight from roughly 200 to over 1,500 pounds, or 650 kilograms. This is in the weight range of motorcycles and very small cars.
Every animal has adapted over time.
