The Special Forces Communications Sergeant is responsible for knowing how to operate every single kind of communications equipment, from encrypted satellite systems to Morse code. These men train in helping with the communications portion of area study, setting up and using operational and tactical communications equipment, and teaching other soldiers the operation and installation of a wide variety of communications equipment. Becoming a Special Forces Communications Sergeant is far from easy. The training comprises of 60 weeks of intense field-based and classroom education. Furthermore, these men should exhibit the ability to remain calm under conditions of extreme duress, and show a strong interest in communications and medicine. After serving in the Army, former Special Forces Communications Sergeants can pursue rewarding careers in the civilian world. Their experience with communications equipment and combat training makes them perfect for positions in the law enforcement field. Furthermore, their leadership abilities tailor them exquisitely for management positions within the corporate world.
