July 17, 2009 The US Mint did not produce silver dollars in 1906. If you have one it is counterfeit or has been altered.. There have been reports of 1986 American Eagle coins being altered to show a 1906 date. If you bought one it is only worth the value of the silver in it which today is about $13.50
Colorized quarters are ordinary quarters altered by a private company and sold at an often-high premium. To a coin collector they're considered to be altered or damaged and have no extra value. Some niche-type collectors of novelty items may pay a premium for a complete set, though.
