I cannot speak on behalf of Latinos, but for Native Americans it has not changed at all. In fact my humble opinion on it is that it has gotten worse; IE: The media ignores the injustices that are being done.

Horses changed the lives of people because the horses offered a new form of faster transportation. Instead of running or walking, now they could ride horseback. Another reason it changed their lives is that it offered a mobile hunting platform, along with the fact that the American Indians herded buffalo off cliffs. Also, the horses allowed the Indians not to be trampled to death by their livestock and the animals that they hunted.
