You've missed the whole point of homework, I'm afraid. Homework is the most educational thing you've got - it gives you practice for what you're trying to learn, teaches you how to become responsible and finish tasks by a deadline, and helps you learn how to find information and how to learn new things.

Can robots do your homework for you?

It is certainly possible to hire people to do your homework, but that defeats the purpose of the homework, which is supposed to be educational. You do not learn anything by having other people study for you. If you have trouble with your homework you can also hire tutors (that is, you can if you have the money) who will help you to do it, which is much more educational than just having someone do it for you. Hiring someone to do your homework violates the school's code of conduct. That can get you expelled from most colleges, universities and private schools. It can also land you in alternative schools in the public system.

Why do teachers give us homework on spring break?

Because the educational system is designed to make you fail. Do you get money back from school if you fail a class because you were overwhelmed with homework even during vacation time such as spring break? I think not.

Should Homework Be Banned In NZ?

Yes Research: John Hartie (University of Auckland) meta-analysis of thousands of educational studies around the world published in a book 'Visible Learning'. He finds that homework, particularly in primary school is next to useless for improving learning outcomes. Primary and Intermediate teachers that enforce homework are simply wasting children's and parents' time that could be better spent ... doing almost anything. Especially as watching TV is shown to have a minimal negative educational effect and is much more enjoyable. Seriously though - kids should be allowed to spend their afternoons in sport and hobbies which can have very positive effects, and schools that persue disproven educational methods which prevent this should be told off by the Ministry of Education.
