Homologous chromosomes are similar in size and in shape and location of the centromere. They carry genes for the same traits. They are different because they carry different versions of some genes. h
Homologous chromosomes are chromosomes in a cell that come together during cell division to create gametes. They can carry the same genetic information, such as hair color, in the same location on the chromosome. However, they can also carry different genetic information. Chromosomes having the same genes at the same loci, but possibly different alleles. For example, two chromosomes may have genes encoding eye color, but one may code for brown eyes, the other for blue.
Homolozygous chromosomes are pairs of either dominat or recesive traits linked together.. geneotype for homolozygous: tt, TT... Phenotyope(phisical apperance): (tt) would be short and (TT) would be tall....
there similar because they have the same gene sequence as the other. They code for things like hair color, eye color, etc.
I don't think they are the same thet they came in indentical pairs,
just like the X Y chromosome that determine the sex of the children.
They are a matching set of chromosomes in a diploid cell.
Sister chromatids are identical while homologous chromosomes are merely similar. They are different because they separate the cells and then they become babies but only the homologous chromosomes do.
the genes they carry.
The karyotype of the asexual organism would not contain homologous chromosomes
homologous chromosomes are chromosomes that are paired during meiosis. They consists of four chromatids. One pair comes from the father and the other, from the mother. The homologous chromosomes are the same size, their centromeres are in the same postition, they have the same number of genes, arranged in the same order. the main definition is Chromosomes that have the same length, appearance and copies of genes, although the alleles may differ
Autosomal chromosomes are all non-sex (X or Y) chromosomes.

Homologous chromosomes is a pair made of a paternal and maternal chromosomes. But sister chromatid is either pairs of paternal or maternal chromosomes
Characteristics. Also, another difference between karyotype and karyogram is that while karyotype describes the number and appearance of chromosomes and includes their length, banding pattern, and centromere position, karyogram contains chromosomes arranged in an appropriate order.Jul

no they don't necessarily have to have the same alleles but they have the same genes. Homozygous chromosomes would have the same allele for a particular gene and heterozygous chromosomes would have different alleles for a particular gene.
