First make sure it's "seen" by your comp and appears on list of devices, (should happen first time you plug in usb and it is on)download software that came with it or download any suggested by your OS (drivers etc) afterwards go to programs and use whatever program your OS has for that to start a scan (like Windows Media Manager) Your OS will have at least one default program already that can do that if you have device. you may even get a scan choice by going to device in device manager and simply right clicking on it. Then simply follow prompts, scan and save in your comp.
