He is growing to be more confident and being more like a burglar.
In Chapter 5 of "The Hobbit," Bilbo demonstrates personal growth by showing courage and resourcefulness. He takes the initiative to rescue the dwarves from the Spiders in Mirkwood Forest despite feeling afraid and uncertain. This marks a turning point in his character development as he starts to embrace his adventurous side.
Dwalin is the dwarf most surprised to see Bilbo in Chapter 5 of "The Hobbit." He reacts with disbelief and questions Bilbo about how he reached their location.
In chapter 5 of The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, Bilbo escapes from the greedy hands of Gollum. When Gollum realizes that chasing Bilbo is futile, he shouts this last line at Bilbo: "Thief, thief, thief! Baggins! We hates it, we hates it, we hates it for ever!," thus calling Bilbo both 'Thief' and 'Baggins.'
bilbo becomes a hero in the end.
In chapter 5; Riddles in the dark; bilbo finds a ring.
Bilbo played riddle games with Gollum in order to distract him and not get eaten. This is found in a chapter of Tolkein's "The Hobbit". There are two versions of Chapter 5 "Riddles in the Dark." One was in the original book, the other was changed when The Lord of the Rings came out, to correct some discrepancies. I have an audio copy of J. R. R. Tolkein reading this entire chapter and he uses expressions and sounds of Gollum.
orcs and goblins don't like the sun thats why in the war of 5 army they use bats as cover from the sun
getting the ring to make him invisable, getting the knife called sting that gave bilbo the ability to cut out the dwarves out of the spiders silk, getting passed smaug
Hobbits don't actually exist, so the only thing we have to go on is what Tolkien said: The oldest recorded age for a hobbit prior to Bilbo Baggins was the Old Took, who lived to be 130 years old. Bilbo celebrated his 131st birthday before leaving for the Grey Havens. (Since Bilbo and Frodo (and eventually Sam) went to the Undying Lands, technically there's no upper limit, though Bilbo lived the longest of any hobbit in Middle-Earth.)
CHAPTER 5Problem: Bilbo must play a game with Gollum in order to get out of the mountain.Solved it: he wins the riddle game, guesses the ring's power, and makes it out of the mountain safely.Basically, he wakes up, finds a ring in the passageway, meets Gollum and makes a riddle game with Gollum. If Gollum loses, he has to lead Bilbo out. Otherwise, Bilbo gets eaten. Bilbo obviously wins, gets lead out, and finds out the ring's powers (put it on, and you turn invisible).
Bilbo finds himself in a cave after escaping the goblins. The cave is home to a creature who calls himself gollum. Gollum is in a mood because he has lost his precious(the ring in bilbo's pocket). Gollum challenges Bilbo to a riddles contest, if Bilbo loses Gollum gets to stew him in a pot and eat him. If Bilbo wins he gets to leave the cave uneaten. After a few riddles each bilbo realises Gollum is much better than himself, so cheats by asking "what is in my pocket?" When he faails to find the answer bilbo uses the ring to vanish from sight and escape.
The battle of the five armies in "The Hobbit" starts when Thorin Oakenshield refuses to share the treasure with the other armies and a battle ensues over the mountain. The conflict escalates as different factions get involved, leading to a large-scale confrontation. Gandalf and Bilbo ultimately play crucial roles in helping to end the battle.
In "Lord of the Flies," the meeting must not be about the beast in chapter 5. Instead, the meeting in this chapter focuses on the growing tensions between Ralph and Jack, particularly concerning priorities and responsibilities within the group.
