Most religions emphasize on Genesis and Apocalypse. Though there are Genesis and Apocalypse teachings also in Buddhism, those are only peripheral teachings, and not quite important to follow the path. Those are presented "just for the extra information".

Angels fall, Gods also die, so cease the suffering by removing attachments, which is called Nirvana, which is way more better than going to Heaven. But if you fail in the path, you can still go to heaven.
