Most of Mitsubishi cars share engine with Chrysler. From what I saw, if your car shares engine with one of American car then you have American engine made by Chrysler. There are some models with Japanese engines. You can find out which engine you have from the car's VIN #. If it starts from J, you have Japanese, everything else means the car engine was made in US, Canada and so on.
