Look at Philippians 2:6-11 "6who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,
7but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.
8Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
9For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,
10so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Jesus subjected Himself to the mission God gave Him.
Look at John 10:30-33 "I and the Father are one."
31The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him.
32Jesus answered them, "I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?"
33The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God."
The Jews knew exactly what Jesus meant when He said "I and the Father are one." which is why they wanted to stone Him.
Well, in The Bible the term God is used to describe a mighty person. That title does not mean that they should be worshiped as the Almighty god. Philippians 2:5,6 even tells us that Jesus doesn't want to take away anything including worship that belongs exclusively to The Almighty. So even though he is a god or godlike he is still in subjection to the Almighty god that is spoken of in 1 Corinthians.
John 5:19,20 tells us: "Therefore, in answer, Jesus went on to say to them: "Most truly I say to YOU, The Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, but only what he beholds the Father doing. For whatever things that One does, these things the Son also does in like manner."
So the Almighty God is in charge and Jesus follows his direction.
By the way.. not all religions believe Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior. (I.e. Jehovah Witnesses)
This verse is found in 2 Corinthians ch.1:20 : -"For all the promises of God in Him (Jesus) are Yes and in Him (Jesus) Amen, to the glory of God through us.
