Katniss' third visitor in the Justice Building is The Baker, Peeta's father. In his visit he tells Katniss he will watch over Prim, and gives Katniss cookies. Katniss is surprised, but grateful that he will look after Prim. Later on though, Katniss wonders if Peeta put him up to this and doubts his good intentions. She decides not to have anything to do with Peeta, and throws the cookies out of the nonmoving train's window.
Katniss dumps a Tracker Jacker nest on the Career's heads. Later Katniss kills Marvel and makes Cato angry. Then last when Cato is being mauled and devoured by the wolves, he asked Katniss to kill and him and take him out of his suffering which leads Katniss to send a arrow flying through his skull
That would most likely be her wedding gown that turned into a mockingjay outfit when she twirled around. The white wedding dress was burned away and replaced by feathers that made Katniss look like a mockingjay.
SPOILER: Peeta is brainwashed by President Snow. But is returned to District 13 to Katniss. He tries to kill Katniss and calls her a mutt. So, they make peeta look back in the past with Katniss and he remembers everything. therefore, they really get married and have kids.
Above all, Katniss is drawn to form an alliance with Rue because she is a "survivor" and above all because she reminds Katniss of Prim, her younger sister. Rue by nature is young and also looking for somebody to look after her in this grim and brutal environment, and Katniss serves this purpose for her.
