Hopefully open and right before your eyes. You should read your Bible every day. This is one of God's ways of speaking to you. If you are not reading it place it close at hand so you can read it at any time. If you are not a Christian you will not understand very much of it.

Additional Answer:

The World's most read and popular book should be made easily available. One does not need to be of any 'religion' to read and understand the words of Scripture. It is by God's will and prayer and supplication that the message of its words are revealed to you. It can be read as a history book or a myth as many who have began to read it intending to disprove it, have been shown its wisdom and truth. The only requirement for the reader is to persist and have an open mind - like the Bereans in Acts 17:10-12.

Comments: Yes anyone can read The Bible. But there are many things that they will never understand fully unless they are spiritually alive to God.

I Corinthians 2:14 tells us, " But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

It is the Holy Spirit that gives illumination to the Word of God. If you do not have the Holy Spirit in your life certain things will not be shown to you. The doctrine of illumination does not mean that we know everything, that we do not need teachers, or that understanding does not require hard work.

Most people keep it on a high shelf, in order to catch the dust and keep that section of shelf clean.
