Plants are plants because of their cell structure.

They are considered plants because of, like above, cell structure. And because they use photosynthesis like any other plant. It is a myth that Venus Flytraps don't like the light and grow in darkness. It's not true. On the contrary, they need a lot of BRIGHT BRIGHT light to survive. But they do eat bugs.

Yes, it has plant cells so it is a plant.
