In the past mechanical clocks were used to check the frequency in generating stations. The mechanical clock was used as a standard as its time keeping was not affected by the frequency of the generated voltage. The two clocks were mounted side by side for easy viewing by the generator's operator. If the electrical clock was faster than the mechanical clock this would tell the operator that the frequency was high and had to be turned down by reducing the speed of the generator. Likewise if the electrical clock was slower that the mechanical clock then the operator would have to speed the generator up a bit. Now this is all taken care of by electronic monitors. The frequency is checked many time a second to make sure it is still in the correct rangethat consumers depend on for frequency driven equipment.
The first electric clock was invented by Scottish clockmaker Alexander Bain in 1840. It used an electrical impulse to regulate the movement of a pendulum, which allowed for more precise timekeeping than traditional mechanical clocks.
Mechanical clock was important to china becausse it helped them be able to use time than the dials....
Atomic clock is faster than mechanical clock and it is the most accurate of all clocks in the world.
Electronic or Electric Engineering is not necessarily better than that of a mechanical engineering. This would usually depend on your field of interest and expertise. Both are involved in building but they differ in what they build or fix. Electric Engineering deals with electronics and smaller parts that make up a big technology while mechanical Engineer designs and builts large scale machines or machinery.
A potato can power a clock better than most other vegetables due to its ability to conduct electricity. By inserting electrodes into the potato, a chemical reaction occurs that generates a small electric current, enough to power a simple clock.
Electric clocks have a steady flow of electricity so it won't miss a beat on time.
Digital clocks will keep time at least as well as a manual mechanical clock.
Yes, electric ovens better than gas.
Mechanical Engineering has a good scope than ece....ece is all about electric devices and communication devices.......even mechanical engineer can do some of that job....mechanical can go in any field even in IT field if you are good at CAD....so i vote for mechanical......
It is better because people can read it better that the original one.
telecommunication is better than electric engineering
Yes!! William A. Borst invented the potato clock in 1983.
