A quick scan just scans most commonly infected files on your computer. That saves you time, and is just fine when you have no reason to be concerned that you have a virus. A full system scan will scan everything in your computer, which is necessary for some more extreme viruses, but it takes longer.

Windows 7 comes with a command-line tool to start a scan with Windows Defender. Enter the following code into Command Prompt and hit Enter. cd C:\Program Files\Windows Defender MpCmdRun -Scan [scantype] Change the number to change the type of scan you want to run. 1= Quick Scan 2= Full Scan For example, MpCmdRun -Scan -2 will start a full system scan. Before starting the scan, Windows Defender will always update its database of virus signatures.

After the scan you can schedule the antivirus to scan regularly at intervals or so.

You can remove it in safe mode. Just keep hitting F8 during bootup, then select safe mode. Once Windows loads, delete c:/do.exe. This is the quick and dirty way to stop this virus. Best to download and install AVG afterwards, and do a full system scan for remnants, but this will let you start the system at least.
