A solid has a definite shape and definite volume , but a liquid has a definite volume and no definite shape.Gas has no definite shape or definite volume.

Gas has an indefinite shape or volume. Liquid has a fixed shape and volume. Solid has a fixed shape and volume.

THE three properties are solids, liquids and gases, The liquid has no shape but has a volume The solid has a shape and a volume THe gas have no shape or volume

Solid and liquid change in shape (Liquid in the most), but they also can change in volume, solid at least.

If it has a definite volume but no defenite shape, it's a liquid. If it has a definite shape and volume it's a solid.

A solid has a fixed shape and a fixed volume. A liquid has a fixed volume, but assumes the shape of its container. A gas assumes both the shape and volume of its container.

A solid has a volume and a shape a liquid has a volume but no certain shape a gas has no certain volume and no certain shape

A liquid is defined as something that has a constant volume but conforms to the shape of its container. This is different from a gas which has variable volume and conforms to the shape of its container. It is also different from a solid which has a constant volume and does not change to fit the shape of its container.

Liquid. A solid has a fixed volume and shape. A liquid has a fixed volume but no fixed shape, and a gas has no fixed volume or shape.

liquid has no definite shape and a solid has no definite shape or volume

A liquid has no definite volume because if you pour it into a circle glass and then pour it into a square glass it will still be a liquid. A solid has a definite volume and definite shape and gas has no definite shape or no definite amount.

molecules in liquids have a definite volume but no definite shape on the other hand solids have both a definite shape a nd volume

A solid will have a definite shape and volume.A liquid will have a definite volume.

Well true solid has a definite shape and volume because solid suppose to have definite shape and volume, liquid has only definite volume and gas no definite shape or volume.

A liquid - but the shape is that of the container.

Liquids: Liquids do not have a set shape, similar to gases, but do have a set volume similar to a solid. Gas: Gases do not have a set shape, which is similar to a liquid and also don't have a set volume. Solid: A solid does have a set volume similar to a liquid and also a has a set shape.

A solid has a definite shape and volume A liquid has the shape of the container and a definite volume A gas has the shape and volume of the container so the two characteristics for the substance to be solid are: a definite shape a definite volume

A solid is matter that has a definite shape and a definite volume, such as a brick. A liquid is matter that has a definite volume, but no definite shape, such as orange juice. A gas is matter that has no definite shape or volume, such as oxygen.

A solid has a definite shape and volume. (but the volume may change with temperature)A liquid has a definite volume but not a definite shape, and a gas has no definite volume or shape.

gas has no definite shape or volume liquid had no definite shape and has volume and a solid has definite shape and volume

yes volume has a defined shape and volume gas does not have a definite shape or volume liquid does not have defined shape but does have define volume

Plasma is made up of free electrons and atoms that are stripped of their electrons. It has no definite shape or volume. A Solid has a definite shape and a definite volume. A Liquid has no definite shape but has a definite volume. A Gas has no definite shape or volume.

The state of matter is actually to states of matter. Solid and liquid are the states of matter that have a volume,(liquid) and shape(solid).
