Squirrels do not have to change or adapt--they are born in the wild and their natural instincts are geared to provide for them both knowledge and know-how. Adaptations occur when an animal is placed in an environment that is alien to it.
Squirrels adapt to their enmironemnt like any other animal would adapt to their environment. They simply get used to living in their certain environment and they develop their skills and learn new things about their habitat and environment. They become wary of humans and 'adapt' to eating new foods. They eventually get used to all of this and when baby squirrels are born, they copy their mothers and eventually have an instinct of what to do because they have seen their mother do it.
i am trying to know so please when someone knows the answer tell me please thnx!
Why do you live in a house?
It's their habitat. It's where he feels comfortable and where he can strive. He has food there, and all of the elements are too his liking.
One of the main adaptations - is that their ankles can rotate through 180 degrees. This means they can run down the trunk as well as up.
Unless they're a California Ground Squirrel or another type of squirrel that lives in the ground, then yes. Most squirrels live and make their nest in trees.
