Antarctica is one of only two island continents, making it very isolated. It is centered on the South Pole and is the coldest place on Earth, as well as the largest desert (it is considered a cold desert). It is also home to many unique animals, such as many species of penguins, seals such as the Crabeater seal, and the leopard seal. Many whales migrate there during the summer to eat krill, which come from Antarctica.

it is really cold and some people even die because of the cold in that region but it has the best places to visit
the population of that island varied from over 1,000 in the summer (over 2,000 in some years) to some 200 in the winter.
Global warming is melting the ice surrounding most of Antarctica. Since the global climate is rising the ice can no longer help but be melted. Poor Pengiuns :(
No animals live in Antarctica: it's too cold to support animal life. Many animals, including seals, penguins and skuas breed on the Antarctic continent, but do not live there.
