As with most ice cream, or any other product that needs to be kept cold for transport, they are packaged and then placed into a refrigerated truck. These truck are designed with a cooling unit at one end of the trailer that ensures none of the products get melted during travel.

It would have to be kept frozen, so they would use freezer trucks. It would go from the factory to a warehouse/distribution center and then to the retail stores in freezer trucks.
