How is christopher colombus like Ferdinand Magellan?
They are both explorers
No he hated dogs
Ferdinand Magellan was born in Portugal, but the king of Portugal did'nt like him so he went to Spain......... He traveled for Spain
Ferdinand Magellan circumnavigated the globe, even though he died in some islands of the coast of Asia. Ferdinand Magellan and like 80% of his crew died and made them drink dirty yellow water and rat infested biscuits.
full of cloves
yes he liked to explore
You can ask 'who' was he like, or 'what' was he like, but 'how' was he like doesn't make any sense.
he felt like it
his home state where they were fighting like where that spanish
this is what he looks like! its kinda bad but atleast its his pic!
Ferdinand Magellan was an explorer who attempted to sail around the world, he dies in the pacific islands in battle but a few of his crew made it back but over like 90% died
Ferdinand Magellan was originally trying to find an easy sea route to India, sort of like Christopher Columbus, then he was going to sail back around Africa to Europe. There was only one problem: he never reached India, since he died in the Philippines.
yes he used to have cats in his ships to help him fish.
i like to play on xbox, and i need to change my pants -ME
Don't think so but for school I have to keep a log that acts like I am traveling with Magellan...it's so stupid! lolz
he proved that the earth is circle or like a sphere and you will not fall if you'll go to the tip of the earth
Just like any sailor in his time and rode out storms or found bays to anchor in.
Ferdinand Magellan was born into a noble Portuguese family. Following their deaths, he became a page for the queen at the age of 10, and studied at Queen Leonora's School of Pages.
The result of Magellan's expedition was to find a way to the West Indies, but not like Christopher Columbus's way.
yes but some people on them on the mayflower he didnt like because they kelp saying they were lost a sea Christopher Colombus said that is they didnt make it back to cut off his head and they were teasing him that he wasnt gonna make it.... =)
yes, someone did send magellan on his voyage. it was the queen of england. she sent magellan to the east indies to get sugar. since the queen was extremely fat she needed sugar for her scones, but the natives didnt like that so they stabbed magellan in the heart and told the survivors " your extremely fat queen will have to get sugar elsewhere"
John Cabot had three sons. He wasnt married. He had a lovely wife named meg cabot. she is a book writer today. and about 25 years old. u probably like her if u like her ur christopher colombus cuz he was never found and is still alive today.
His biography doesn't tell us if he was good or bad. That is a subjective opinion and unless a letter or diary can give historical evidence about him it is only a guess what he was like.
Magellan was Portuguese. He sailed west to find a new trading route to Asia and the spice Islands. He could not get permission from the Portuguese King, so he changed nationality and persuaded the King of Spain to give him permission to sail. The Portuguese King did not like Magellan, and did not believe that the world was round. - The King thought this expedition was a waste of money as it was "impossible".
MMagellan liked to explore and meet new people but he can become a little overpowered at times he had a wife and he had two kids that died at young ages . He also studied astronomy and navigation .
that the earth is round just like what Magellan said ... `The church says the earth is flat, but I know that it is round, for I have seen the shadow on the moon, and I have more faith in a shadow than in the church"
He kind of is important, but NOT MAJOR. Maybe he isnt important. Because, he didnt do much. Sure, he explored a lot. But, he's small compared to others like Lewis and Clark, John Smith and others.
india was not invented it was discovered like colombus discovered america
No, he wanted to prove that the world was round, he was the 2nd person to try and prove it as Christopher Columbus was the 1st. He had 3 ships, one of them broke/fell apart in the sea. He also wanted to find new land and new spices along with money. If he was like Columbus and found new land, the king and queen of Spain would be behind him and take that new land… Read More
Marco polo was the first to kick off the "age of exploration." He wanted travel so he went to Asia, he later returned and wrote the the "Book of Marvelous," all about his experiences and journeys. Prince Henry the Navigator was inspired by this book years later, and he decided he wanted a faster and cheaper all water route to India without going through Italy because going through Italy was expensive. Prince Henry did not… Read More

what was christopher columbus parents like?

he killed people that didnt follow him so he was a murderer Actually he technically was not a murderer. He was curious person who folloewed christopher Columbus and liked to explore(to answer your question). He murdered people when he got to the Spice Islands and when he converted many people to Christianity. One of the Rajahs were influenced so he commandd everyone to pay tribute. If someone didnt they warned them that they will kill… Read More

Magellan first circumnavigated the Globe for the Portuguese. This is =very similar to what NASA does daily, provide a better view of the world around us, like the great explorer did many years ago. They see Magellan as a role model for Aerospace engineering, etc.
I personally am a scientist/explorer. One day I felt extra curious and asked this same question. So I did a couple researching and now I am capable of managing to tell you the answer for this question. Ferdinand Magellan's goal was to circumnavigate the world. Although he completed his voyage he was killed in the Battle of Mactan. I hope I answered your question with satisfaction, If I did so please feel free to leave… Read More
I'd say Magellan affected the world in a positive way because after his voyage people then knew the world wasn't flat and because there was a western trade route to Asia. I don't know if I'd say that he affected the world in a negative way because of him and circumnavigation but he did end up killing 242 men (including himself) during the voyage but not like he did kill them himself and it was… Read More
Not a breach in the chain of command like the Bounty affair. Magellan was ashore and was attacked and murdered by Native Filipinos. One of his executive officers- Juan Sebastian De Elcano- then assumed command- and the task force finished its mission- sans Magellan. As Magellan did not survive the expedition, really Senor De Elcano should be crowned as the first circumnavigator. Surviving ship was the Victoria.
Oh because his cool like that
Torture them like they did to the Christian heretics
