The site of calcium regulation differs
The heart muscle is different from smooth and skeletal muscles because it does not require a nerve to cause it to contract. The heart has it's own built in conduction system that cause's the automatic contraction and relaxation that is required for circulation. Smooth and Skeletal muscle whether it uses voluntary or involuntary muscle contraction all have innervation to cause the contraction. Sara, RN
There are three muscle types, skeletal, smooth and cardiac. Skeletal and cardiac are both striated muscle, whereas smooth muscle is not.
The 3 different types of muscle are smooth, cardiac, and skeletal muscle. Smooth muscle is located on the walls of hollow organs, cardiac muscle is located on the wall of the heart, and skeletal muscle is located on skeletal muscle organs (most organs). Their functions include movement in walls of hollow organs, pumping of blood, and movement of bones, heat production and posture, respectively. Cardiac and smooth muscle are involuntary, whereas skeletal muscle is voluntary. Both cardiac and skeletal muscles have striations, but smooth muscle does not.
no skeletal muscles are voluntary smooth muscles are not
Striated, smooth, and skelital cardiac, skeletal, and smooth
Smooth muscle tissue
Potassium is a mineral which is really important for heart function, skeletal and smooth muscle contraction.
Uhh, no uncontrolled muscle contraction occurs in smooth and cardiac muscles... there are many differences between these two types of muscles; controlled and uncontrolled muscle contraction.....
No. and cardiac muscle is technically different from skeletal muscle, too.
skeletal smooth muscle neuron
Cardiac muscle tissue, like skeletal and smooth muscle tissue, can undergo hypertrophy.Unlike both smooth and skeletal muscle, cardiac muscles have cells that branch.
