Is it dangerous to have dry ice in a pool?

Yes, it is dangerous to have dry ice in a pool. Dry ice can release carbon dioxide gas, which can displace oxygen and potentially lead to suffocation if inhaled in high concentrations. Additionally, the extreme cold temperature of dry ice can cause skin burns or frostbite if touched directly. It is important to handle dry ice with caution and avoid using it in or near a pool.

Is dry ice more dangerous than fire?

In some ways yes and others no. Dry ice can cause some serious burns to the skin while fire burns everything. So, basically fire is the more dangerous.

Can you place dry ice into a pressure cooker without it exploding?

No, it is not safe to place dry ice in a pressure cooker because the rapid sublimation of dry ice into gas could cause a dangerous pressure buildup, resulting in potential explosion or injury. It is important to always follow safety guidelines and use dry ice in appropriate containers or environments.

What happens when you put cinnamon in dry ice?

When cinnamon is placed in contact with dry ice, a reaction occurs where the cinnamon absorbs the carbon dioxide gas released by the dry ice. This may cause the cinnamon to bubble and fizz as the carbon dioxide is released, creating a visual effect. It is not dangerous, but should be done in a well-ventilated area.

What are dangers of using dry ice?

Using dry ice can be dangerous if not handled properly. Direct contact with dry ice can cause frostbite-like burns, inhaling high concentrations of carbon dioxide gas released by dry ice can lead to asphyxiation, and storing it in airtight containers can result in an explosion due to the build-up of gas pressure. It is important to always use caution and follow safety guidelines when handling dry ice.

What is the problem question about dry ice bubbles?

Dry ice is colder than regular ice and if you touch it ,it will hurt. Dry ice is solidified Carbon Dioxide, and it does not go from solid state to liquid state - it goes from solid state to gaseous state through a process called sublimation.

Dry ice and asbestos fall into what hazard class?

Dry ice falls into hazard class 9 (Miscellaneous hazardous materials), while asbestos is typically classified as a hazardous material due to its ability to cause serious health issues such as lung cancer.

When dry ice sublimates at room temperature does it create pressure?

Yes, when dry ice sublimates at room temperature, it can create pressure if contained in a sealed space. This is because the sublimation of dry ice produces carbon dioxide gas, which can build up pressure if not allowed to escape. It is important to handle dry ice properly to avoid dangerous pressure build-up.

Where do you get dry ice from?

Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide.
