Analog electrical signals are converted into digital signals by an analog to digital converter (ADC). A ramp is compared to a signal and comparator will send data bits to represent the signal value in digital value compared to a reference internal voltage.

As you may or may not know, a bit has two values, 1 and 0. They represent a current going through a circuit. If the current is running, the value is 1. Otherwise, it is 0. Simple logic. Then there is Binary language, the very primitive way of how the computer communicates. It sends information in 1s and 0s, which then get interpreted. Of course, programming languages can't get pushed through the computer in the words that we see, so the computer must convert it into it's binary language.

Bits do not have values at all. They do however have states, for example, 1= true and
0=false. It cetainly does not represent current going, flowing or otherwise trough a circuit. It is however represent a binary state meaning two states . A COMPUTER DOES NOT CONVERT THIS STATES INTO BINARY LANGUAGE. However this is the language that all machines [COMPUTERS] understand; "1" and "0". Live and learn but do not pass along bad information please.

first of all convert data into binary coefficient and then into electric signals by using the a2d and d2a converters then sent it on to the cables or media which is suitable for that data............

Why is a modem needed for analog telephone lines?

A modem (which stands for Modulator-Demodulator) converts digital data from the computer to analog data compatible with the telephone system. The analog signal is converted back into digital data on the other end of the call.

Distinguish between a signal element and a data element?

Signal Element Versus Data Element: Let us distinguish between a data element and a signal element. In data communications, our goal is to send data elements. A data element is the smallest entity that can represent a piece of information: This is the bit. In digital data communications, a signal element carries data elements. A signal element is the shortest unit (time wise) of a digital signal. In other words, data elements are what we need to send; signal elements are what we can send. Data elements are being carried; signal elements are the carriers.

How the current signal converted into pneumatic signel?

A current signal is converted into a pneumatic signal with a Current-to-Pneumatic Converter. The converter allows a safe and proportional output to ensure a seamless conversion.

A quartz clock operates by a piece of quartz crystal. The crystal's wavelength gives off a signal which is read by a digital logic circuit. This signal is then translated into increments of time. The digital data is converted to hours, minutes and seconds.
