∙ 12y agoDolphins and killer whales are alike in many ways: for example, they are both mammals (they have live babies, no eggs). Also, contrary to popular opinion, orcas (also known as killer whales) are actually in the Mammalian (mammal) family Delphinidae, meaning that TECHNICALLY orca whales are not whales at all; they are a part of the dolphin family! Also, killer whales, or orcas, have they same playful nature as dolphins, although they are not quite so exuberant as dolphins.
