Functioning labels are offensive - it's a way of identifying which Autistic people are more like Neurotypical people, so more acceptable, which is inherently ableist.
Functioning labels are also meaningless because it's a matter of opinion who would be considered 'high-functioning' or 'low-functioning'. Often the terms are also used to silence or dismiss Autistic people, often parents of Autistic children try to silence Autistic people by saying they're 'high-functioning' so don't know what it's like to be 'low-functioning' like their children (even if Autistic adults were more severely effected than their children), so again functioning is about value ad judgement put on Autistic people. Please do not use such terms.
Autism isn't something that you overcome, Autism is your identity - you are always Autistic, there is no way to change that. As someone who is Autistic you will still display traits of your neurology.
enzymes are still functional after losing their shape as they depend onn their shape

He has aspergers imo. but he's still a funny.
No, Autism cannot be detected by ultrasound and hopefully pre-natal screening for Autism will not be developed during the time that ableism still exists against Autistic people. Autism can only be diagnosed through assessment by a trained professional who assesses behaviour.
Typically it is not possible to tell if autism is present while the baby is in the womb. However, if you do discover that you child has autism, early intervention is key. Understand that autism is not the end of the world, just the beginning of a new normal. For more information: Available on amazon:
Autism is still called autism once a child reaches adulthood. Mild cases may be named something else, although closely related to autism, such as Aspergers. Some autistic patients are not diagnosed until they reach adulthood.
Yes.
Yes if you are obese and you still eat unhealthy food it is highly possible that you could die
It is unlikely that your child would have autism. There is a genetic component to autism, so it is more likely that you would have a child with autism than a couple with no history of autism in their backgrounds. However, it is still more likely that your child will not have autism than have autism.
The cause of Autism is still unknown. However, there is a strong belief that there is a genetic predisposition when a family member is autistic. Beyond that factor, the cause of autism is a topic of great debate and vast differences of opinion.
