In my opinion, I think he is a brave person.
But, in other hands, I think he is not *really* a born leader.
For instance, he has this blood lust for trying to kill the pig. He only cares about Hunting and killing Pigs.
The description of him is that he is mad. Crazy. He was a good guy at the beginning. He had the choir. He was a the *CFO* of the island.
This book is a Political Allegory. Ralph and Jack.
[Therefore, this is how Simon dies. Since they when insane... Lost respect for each other.]
Jack

Jack Merridew

In "Lord of the Flies" by William Golding, Ralph is elected as the leader by the group of boys stranded on the island. His democratic approach contrasts with Jack's authoritarian leadership style, leading to a power struggle between the two characters.
The leader was chosen by every body voting for Jack or Ralph.
When the boys elect Ralph as leader, in favour of Jack, Ralph puts Jack in charge of the choir and asks him what he would like them to be. Jack replies, "Hunters."
He says that he will protect them from the "beast" and that they can have meat with him and the warmth of the fire.
Ralph is the leader. Jack is the antagonist and rebel . Simon is the Jesus archetype.
jack overcomes Ralph by making his own group of people and being the leader of his group
