Water in the subducted rock is released into the asthenosphere. The water lowers the melting temperatures of materials in the asthenosphere, leading to the formation of magma. i dot think this is right so who ever did this take it back
In a concurrent area with eroding sea floor, the removed rock will contain great amount of sea water. This water will act on the rock and cause erosion, making it less dense and also lower its melting point. This weak rock melts as it gets closer to the mantle and magma is formd.
As an oceanic plate sinks into the mantle at a convergent boundary it causes rocks to melt. Some of the newly formed magma will migrate upward to volcanoes, that have formed along the convergent boundaries, and erupt.
Convergent boundary mountains are mountains formed by convergent boundaries.
a mountain forms
It was formed from the volcanism created by a subducting oceanic plate at a convergent plate boundary.
