Hydrogen about 80% Helium about 18% Methane about 2%.
The temperature varies at different levels.
The blue colour is due to the methane and the white clouds seem to contain frozen methane.
There are small traces of other things too.
I believe it is thick, as it is made of gas............................
gas
Hydrogen, Helium, Methane
Yes, they are very similar.
Yes, because it is without oxygen.
80% hydrogen, 18.5% helium, and 1.5% methane.
At high altitudes, Neptune's atmosphere is 80% hydrogen and 19% helium.
Neptune has an atmosphere filled with 19% of helium, 80% of hydrogen, and a trace amount for methane. So ........ it is very thick!

Helium makes up most of Neptunes atmosphere, and some within Uranus. It is this helium that gives Neptune it's blue hue.
A comet has no atmosphere.
Not choke, just die; no oxygen. And so cold your lungs would freeze.
