i have a couple simple ways.... mabye the govement should try to help prevent this. close open waters, or get someone to govern them. the government or president should be aware of what is happening. alot of men are going to lose jobs but if they don't let it set for a bit, this can be an even bigger issue. Another way is to take very little fish or underwater creatures. its about time the government does something.
ya know
wat , im president!
Press the "~" key, and enter "svar_svcheats 1". Then enter up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A. Then type "cvar_savefish N," where N is the coefficient of the overfishing. This is called the Konami Code, and is an result of the Konami Protocol.
If this does not work, one can approach it economically. Overfishing is often a result of a concept known as "the tragedy of the commons." This concept concerns how, if no fishing companies own certain waters, and all are allowed to fish there, they will all partake and thus catch all the fish. If a certain company owns the waters, though, they have an incentive to sustain the fish population, in order to keep their investment profitable. This means that the fishing waters can be sold to, or at least reserved for, a small number of companies.
The Vancouver Aquarium's conservation program, Ocean Wise, now has over 2,000 restaurant partners who use theOcean Wise logo on their menus alongside better fish and seafood choices. It can be hard to make a good menu choice - after all, if it's on the menu, how can a species be threatened? But according to the Vancouver Aquarium website, about 90 per cent of large predator fish from the world's oceans have been harvested. So much depends on the interrelationships of species within the ocean, from healthy conditions for plankton and zoo-plankton growth all the way up the food chain to responsible, sustainable fishing practices. I think that if we make good choices for dinner, whether at the supermarket or at the neighbourhood bistro, we can steer the food industry to better practices.
"Sustainable seafood can be defined as species that are caught or farmed in a way that ensures the long-term health and stability of that species, as well as the greater marine ecosystem," says the Aquarium site.
Bottom trawling and dredging are two of the most harmful fishing methods, because they produce a lot of by-catch and can harm the ocean environment, including damage to coral reefs. But improvements to seafood farming techniques, including inland farms that are closed to natural waterways, are offering better fish options. Looked for farmed tilapia, sturgeon, rainbow trout and Arctic char.
A ban on the catch of certain species for a couple of years can do wonders, as most fish can rebound quickly, because of the vast numbers of young they produce.
Stop fishing.
Catch and Release!
In Australia everywhere is being affected by Overfishing is different ways, The Great Barrier Reef is being affected the worst. Thanks Ethan
