the Calvin cycle of photosynthesis requires CO2 (carbon dioxide)
organisms that are heterotrophs, like us, which cannot produce their own food consume autotrophs like plants, which do produce their own food.
a by-product of cellular respiration is CO2
a by-product of photosynthesis is O2
organisms like us need O2 to live
organisms like plants need CO2 to live (and to support us in life--we eat them because they have sugar [i.e., glucose])
Photosynthesis gives out Oxygen and takes in Carbon Dioxide.
Aerobic Respiration uses the Oxygen and gives out Carbon Dioxide.
Making a cycle
Plus without respiration the cell would die which would stop photosynthesis.
Photosynthesis is when plants take compounds (Carbon dioxide and water), use the energy from light, and create glucose and oxygen. Now, most living things perform respiration, which is when the glucose is broken down to form ATP (a type of energy) and the Oxygen is used.
6CO2+6H2O==C6H12O6+6O2
They are opposites of one another.
Photosynthesis uses sunlight + water + carbon dioxide --> glucose + oxygen
Cellular respiration uses glucose + oxygen --> ATP + carbon dioxide + water
Photosynthesis and cellular respiration simply depend on each other as the product of photosynthesis (glucose) is the respiratory substrate and after respiration CO2 and H2O are released. Both these compounds are required for photosythesis. Thus both processes depend on each other.
they are dependent on each other because photosynthesis uses carbon dioxide and water to produce glucose and oxygen, while respiration uses glucose and oxygen to produce carbon dioxide and water. its kind of like the relationship between humans and plants. humans use oxygen to produce the carbon dioxide that is necessary for the plants to make the oxygen. this is why they depend on each other.
Glucose is produced by photosynthesis. Glucose is utilized by respiration
Photosynthesis produce glucose and Oxygen . Mitochondria utilizes them in it
Photosynthesis and cellular respiration are related since they both need each other to work. Both are in autotrophs, both use the electron transport chain, and they use the same equation.
Cellular respiration is possible without photosynthesis in an organism but photosynthesis is not possible without cellular respiration.
Respiration and photosynthesis are two seoarate processes, so reversing photosynthesis would not give you respiration. However the two processes are in some ways the reverse of each other. Photosynthesis uses CO2 and produces O2. Respiration uses O2 and produces CO2.
If you mean respiration, they are reverse processes of each other (sort of).
Photosynthesis makes the energy(ATP), then the cellular respiration breaks it down to create food. The Formula is similar, but in opposite directions.

Well they are both related because they both have to do something with energy, oxygen, and carbon dioxide.
They are the inverse of each other. The raw materials of one are the products of the other. glucose + oxygen --> carbon dioxide + water is respiration, and photosynthesis is the reverse: carbon dioxide + water --> glucose + oxygen.
Cellular respiration is possible without photosynthesis in an organism but photosynthesis is not possible without cellular respiration.
Photosynthesis make glucose molecules and store energy. Respiration break up and release energy
They are opposite to each other .

Cellular respiration. Their chemical equations are the reverse of each other.

See the questions in the "Related Questions" section below for each individual equation.

in a way respiration is the opposite of photosynthesis. Because when you look at the formula for each of them one is the reverse of the other. However, photosynthesis is the process of changeing sunlight to energy and respiration is when a cell no longer needs a part of it, or that part gets too old. Say, for example a mitochondria isn't doing it's job, then the cell will break it down and use the remainder if the mitochondria for something else. That is respiration.
