There is no NIT in vijayawada... there is one in warangal in andhra pradesh (every state has just one NIT) I think you are talking about the SPA Vijayawada which was opened in 2008 (last year) SPA is centrally controlled by Delhi SPA (the best)... and the visiting faculty there is very good. That's all I know.
