The actions of our ancestors back then have taught us a lesson that slavery is wrong in many ways. Back then, people did not think the way we do today. White people did not think of African Americans as humans, they were property. This thought is very threatening and is very shocking. Now things have changed a lot; we don't have slaves. There are even holidays for those with darker skin.
