Karma lead you up the cast system in reincarnation
THE VARNAS:
Varnas have nothing to do with occupations and are four different life styles to be used depending on external conditions.
A Varna is based on the gap between the positive (achievement) and the negative (satisfaction) attitudes.Greater the gap greater is the separation of activities of life, greater the Karma and lesser would be the efficiency.
1. Brahmana Varna: The two attitudes are merged. It is meant for ideal conditions
2. Kshatriya Varna: The attitudes are separated. It is meant for normal conditions. If the two attitudes merge it become Brahmana Varna.
3. Vaishya Varna: In this there is just the positive attitude. It is meant for tolerable conditions. If we remove negative attitude from Kshatriya Varna it become Vaishya Varna.
4. Shudra Varna: In this there are no attitudes. This gives Shudra unlimited freedom to live in chaotic conditions. If we remove positive attitude from Vaishya Varna it becomes Shudra Varna.
VARNA AND KARMA
It should be noted that higher the Varna lesser is the Karma. We can't reduce Karma and have a higher Varna. Higher Varna comes first and reduction in Karma comes later. Karma also depends on the gods we select and the mode of time we choose and not just on Varnas. Thus, Karma, like Brahman and Caste is three dimensional.
THE USER INTERFACE OF HUMAN LIFE
Interposed between our real world and mind is a three dimensional human interface. A knowledge of it is what we call Brahmajnana.
The three dimensions are,
1. Vertical / Daiva - the seven basic Hindu gods
2. Left to Right - the four Varnas.
3. Back to Front / Kala / time - Transient to eternal time.
A complete knowledge of the Human interface of life enables us to live comfortably under all conditions. However, if we live in the same place then that amount of flexibility is a liability. Thus, caste evolved to minimize the flexibility and make life more efficient.
THE HINDU CASTES
The castes are based on a part of the user interface of life, depending on natural resources, geography, physical and mental abilities of people and needs of people.
A caste too is three dimensional, with elements of Varnas, gods and time.
Every caste would be made of all the four Varnas because Brahmana element makes the caste durable and Shudra element makes it flexible.
Thus, contrary to popular belief, the castes are not just four. They are more than 2, 000 and sub castes, more than 20, 000. However, they are mutually compatible for social interactions of short duration.
Each Hindu caste is the equivalent of a religion, with a set of beliefs, a set of rituals and a code of conduct. Thus, Hinduism is an umbrella of religions.
Thus, the caste system makes the best use of availabilities, needs and capabilities.
Castes make Hindu society heterogeneous. Thus, any damage to Hinduism would be restricted to a small part of it only.
It cannot be denied that caste system is still in existence in Bihar, U.P.However, the Govt. is trying its level best to eradicate caste system which is a curse to the Hindu society. However, with advancement of science and technology, the effect of caste system is at a low ebb and it is expected that Indian society should be caste system free within next 50 years.
