Elements are substances made up from only one type of atom. A compound is a mixture of different elements connected by their electrons overlapping each other but by the nucleus of the atoms not quite touching. Two elements can be connected by burning them this causes them to vibrate as they get hotter the electrons are like "WAA we are flying around really fast!" and they go so jiggy they smash into the other particles and become friends for life- until they get separated. If you don't understand that look up atomic structure :) Year 10 chemistry:)
The compound formed from sodium and sulfur is sodium sulfide (Na2S).
The compound formed by tin and oxygen is tin oxide.
covalent compound is formed by the sharing of electrons whereas ionic compound is formed by the transfer of electrons.
The compound formed is a polypeptide.
A covalent compound.

When only potassium and oxygen, the compound usually formed has the formula K2O. Under certain conditions, a compound with formula K2O2 can also be formed.
The compound formed with sodium and oxygen is sodium oxide (Na2O), and the compound formed with sodium and chlorine is sodium chloride (NaCl).
