Step Throat is an infection caused by steptococcus bacteria. The immune system is of course compromised during such infection and would normally require the prescription of antibiotics to help combat the illness. Until the body's immune system can overcome the infection (with the aid of antibiotics), the body would normally feel weak during the recovery period.

∙ 9y agoSingle most effect of strep throat is that you can land up in rheumatic fever. Which in turn can damage the valves of your heart. Which in turn make you debilitated for life time.
