In an orchestra an Oboe is part of the woodwind section. The technique is no different than at any other time you play the oboe.
Orchestras divide instruments produced by blowing sound through a tube into brass and woodwinds. Brass instruments: trumpets, trombones, etc., at one time were all made of brass. Woodwinds were made of wood, or used a reed, or blew across a hole. Thus, a silver Flute is a woodwind. Ravel put a sax in an orchestra in the woodwinds.
With the mouth!
yes it was as i have played a song from beauty and the beast that was for oboe.
Band or orchestra music includes oboe parts.
An oboe is played with a double sided reed. There is a hole in the middle in which you blow through. And of course you also press the keys.
yes
The oboe generally produces a high pitched, woody, sort of sound. The sound can vary greatly depending on how the oboe is played.
The oboe is a wind instrument, played by forcing air between two reeds. The vibration of the reeds creates the sound, and the pitch can be altered using the keys to change the size of the vibrating chamber.

The Duck in the piece Peter and the Wolf is played by the oboe, my favourite instrument, which I actually play. I think the oboe has a very fitting sound for the Duck, as most people describe it as "nasally and annoying."
When played well, oboe is a very beautiful instrument. It is unique and interesting to play and a good solo instrument.
why was any musical instrument played, for the entertainment of yourself and others.
