there are two answers to your question my friend, because the phrasing of the question lacks a general direction...

1-The Tapir are on the endangered species list because their population number has reached a low number and continues to lessen, which is quite sad.

2-Tapir's are becoming endangered because of Malayan poaching and the advance of surrounding civilization on it's habitat.
