Provides light, heat, energy, ect. The sun also is a necessity in the process of photosynthesis, allowing the plants to thrive. If there were no sun there would be no plants, without any plants for the herbivores to consume, there is no herbivores. It would cause a chain reaction in our ecosystem. Not to mention the fact we would be already frozen to death without the sun.
All living things depend on energy from the sun. Even though animals get their energy from either plants or from animals that eat plants, those plants get their energy from the sun, so it all comes back to the sun.
By way of plants.
The sun is known as the source of all living things because, the energy in the sun's rays can be used by plants to survive and produce oxygen and expel carbon dioxide, also herbivores eat these plants to survive, and carnivores eat herbivores to survive, which means that plants are essential for life on earth, while sunlight is essential for plants to live, ultimately making the sun the source of energy for all living things.
Green Plants
The ultimate source is the sun. Plants use the sun to grow and animals feed on plants or other animals that feed on plants for sustenance.
The sun is the ultimate source of energy in living things since plants use sunlight to make glucose and other animals use the glucose by eating the plants.
In an neighborhood there are thing like trees, plants, people, grass, and pets that are living. Nonliving things are things such as soil, houses, furniture, the sun and air! (Well theres sun and air in all places!)
The sun is important to living things, because it help us balance the living things everyday lives, like plants for them not to be dround. And for humans and animals for them to keep the temperature warm enough to stay.
No, the sun and other stars are not living things.
why does the sun provide that living things need?
Essentially the energy of the sun is used almost universally to energize living things on this Earth. Solar energy is captured and locked into sugar and sugar-related compounds in plants. Herbivores eat plants to get their energy which came from the sun. Higher order animals eat plants and or other animals. Vultures, scavengers, and bacteria clean up the very last of dead plants and animals.
Biotic factors are living things and abiotic factors are non-living things. They interact in that living things depend on non-living things to survive. One example of them interacting is when the sun (abiotic) helps make foods for the plants (biotic).
