Trust is pretty much the same as faith. Faith is believing in someone or something that has not been seen.

I, as a Christian, believe or trust that Jesus Christ is my savior and that he died for my sins and that by trusting in him I will have life everlasting in heaven. I have not seen him nor heard him, but through trust (faith), I know he exists.
