What is vision training?
Vision training, also known as vision therapy or orthoptics, consists of a variety of programs to enhance visual performance.

What can be done about low vision?
Injectible drugs exist to help alleviate wet macular degeneration. The most effective treatment for low vision is eccentric viewing training, which is an occupational therapy-based treatment designed to teach the eye and brain to see through a different part of the eye from the damaged macula. This therapy is highly specialized and requires significant training. It is not to be confused with the majority of low vision programs, which deal only with home adaptation.
