I'd have to say the organisms are evolved. Or possibly have mutated, but since it was a good mutation (like developing poison or something that will help you) when it had off spring the offspring also had that mutation and so on and so forth.

Features that are similar in organisms that are not evolutionarily related are due to?

convergent evolution. This occurs when unrelated organisms independently evolve similar traits or features in response to similar environmental pressures. The similarity is a result of natural selection favoring those traits that enhance survival in a particular environment.

What is it called when organisms evolve similar features?

Co-evolution.

Type of evolution in which unrelated organisms independently evolve similarities when adapting to similar environments?

Convergent evolution is the type of evolution in which unrelated organisms independently evolve similarities when adapting to similar environments. This can result in different species developing similar traits or characteristics as a result of facing similar selective pressures.

Why are organisms in different groups can be distant from each other and yet have sharedfeatures?

Organisms in different groups can be distant from each other but still have shared features due to a concept called convergent evolution. This occurs when different species independently evolve similar traits in response to similar environmental pressures or niches. As a result, organisms from diverse lineages can develop similar features even though they are not closely related.

What are similar structures that evolve independently?

Similar structures that evolved independently are called analogous structures, or analogies.

The process that produces a similar appearance among unrelated groups of organisms is?

The process that produces a similar appearance among unrelated groups of organisms is called convergent evolution. This occurs when different species independently evolve similar traits or characteristics in response to similar environmental pressures or ecological niches. Despite not sharing a common ancestor, these unrelated species develop analogous features to adapt to their surroundings.

Are organisms that have similar traits but evolve independently are the result convergent evolution?

Yes, organisms that develop similar traits independently due to similar environmental pressures are the result of convergent evolution. This process leads to analogous structures that serve the same function but have different underlying genetic origins. An example is the streamlined bodies of sharks and dolphins, which evolved separately for better aquatic locomotion.

What is a convergent change?

Convergent evolution is when different species independently evolve similar traits or characteristics to adapt to similar environmental pressures. This can result in the organisms looking or behaving similarly, even though they are not closely related.

What is the result of similar traits that evolve independently?

Nothing will evolve independantly something in the enviroment will cause them to either evolve or become extinct

The independent evolution of similar traits in organisms is caused by?

Convergent evolution, where unrelated organisms independently evolve similar traits to adapt to similar environments or ecological niches. This occurs due to similar selective pressures driving specific adaptations, leading to the development of analogous structures or functions in different lineages.

What evolution is when you find similar organisms far away from each other?

This phenomenon is known as convergent evolution. It occurs when unrelated or distantly related species independently evolve similar traits or characteristics due to adapting to similar environmental pressures or ecological niches.

What process by which unrelated organisms come to resembled one another is called?

The process is called convergent evolution. It occurs when different species independently evolve similar traits or characteristics due to adapting to similar environments or ecological niches.
