The AK47 fires a CARTRIDGE that is 39 mm long, with a 7.92 mm bullet (even though it is CALLED a 7.62 bullet, it is bigger). Typically the bullet is 123 grains in weight, which makes it about as fat as a 30-06 rifle bullet, but shorter. See the link at the bottom of this page:

The short answer is no. The AK47 (or AKM) is not the most accurate of weapons, but this is to do with the horrendous muzzle climb and recoil experienced in fully automatic mode. However, the bullets will yaw when striking a human target, which means that after impact they spin and deflect around the body and create very large wounds.
neither gun is bigger just the bullets are bigger...The AK-47 has7.62x39mm round.The AK-74has the 5.45x39mm round.
Indian Soilders were fighting with Insas Rifle...which had the capacity of 3 bullets per second...while pak was using AK47 n above..
