If your tea has no added sugar, and you don't have any cake or biscuit, it makes no difference. If you're diabetic, you shouldn't be adding sugar anyway.
If you are hoping to take carbohydrates or sugars after having diabetic medicine, you'll need to first look up the 'action profile' of the particular medicine you're taking. (That's how long before it takes effect, how long before its effect is strongest, and how long it lasts). This will be different for each medicine, and these numbers are also averages -- they'll be different for you.
Recommended: Get a glucometer, to test your own blood glucose. Take your medicine, don't eat yet, test every hour, and determine these numbers for yourself. (Eating will distort the results.) Once you know the results, you can answer this question for yourself.
As long as you are not having trouble with gestational diabetes, it would not hurt to drink some Sprite.

well it is not good to drink any way
It all depends on the severity of his diabetes. If he is newly diagnosed and none of the disease has seeped into his system then holistic medicine can help him just as long as he watches his diet and weight.

read the label the medicine needs time to work on the larnys, throat, etc, wherever there is swelling or redness, infection, etc, so if you take your medicine and drink right away, you wash away the therapeutic medicinal effect of the medicine a suggestion is to take one teaspsoon upon coughing, rtelax, and as you feel beeter and stop coughing, a lorenger for added reflief
It depends on what kind of medicine, but usually if it's like a pill you can drink right away.
It is perfectly alright. I have my partner drink my pee every night before bed. Done this for a very long time. The only times I don't do it is if I am taking any medicine for a cold or headache. He loves the different tastes depending on what I eat or drink that evening.
