While the usual time for wearing them is one to two weeks, it really depends your orthodontist's diagnosis, and what he or she believes is the right amount of time to get the desired result. The actual name for spacers is "orthodontic separators," and while they can sometimes be painful or annoying, they are known for getting excellent results.
Well it all depends on the space you get. Right now i have a spacer/Appliance and i have been wearing it since February 09 and at first i had a key to tighten it and now i have a face mask i have to wear at night so i would say at least 6 months becasue im getting my appliance off next month and in September im getting 2 other retainers on top and bottom and will be wering it till sometime next year and them getting braces but it wont hurt.
It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to put spacers in.
Like a week after you should get braces.
2 weeks to a month
Invisible braces should be treated like regular braces. You have to keep them in at all times and only take them off for eating and brushing.
DO NOT WORRY AT ALL!! spacers only stay on for 3-4 days, then come the braces. for some people spacers stay on for 1 week, depending on your dental situation...i recommend some pain relievers because the day after your spacers, it will hurt like hell!! it can also last up to 2 weeks..but that is only if your teeth are extremely crammed together.....GOOD LUCK! And once again its USUALLY ONLY A FEW DAYS!!
Ask your dentist.
No, but the teeth will start to overlap.
It depends on what you have done. Spacers and bite-plates are uncomfortable and take about a week or two to get used to. The actual braces aren't so bad, and you should usually be used to them within four or five days. When you get them off it usually takes some getting used to, too.
depends on your teeth
my orthodontist said that when i get my temporary braces they have to stay on for 6 months before i get my predominant ones which i have to have for 18 months to 2 years
The bottom answer is not totally correct. You must wait at least a few weeks, preferably 3 months, before getting braces in order to let the gums and the bone heal properly before putting on braces. They can never get braces because they will irritate the damaged gums.
you can use the same spacers as long they are a 1/4 "
She had braces for a long time ...
It takes about an hour to apply braces.
