When I got my tongue pierced a few years ago it was fairly swollen and semi-painful for about a week or so. After that it only would hurt when I accidentally would pull it during eating or something. Number one, eat before getting it pierced! Sounds stupid but you wont be able to eat to your hearts content for a little while due to the swelling and pain. Carry around a water bottle with alcohol free mouthwash and water, half and half. Always rinse your mouth out after eating. I would suck on ice and drink ice water and popsicles and stuff. All these things will keep the swelling and pain down significantly. It really shouldnt hurt hurt after a week or so, but getting used to eating is the hardest part. After a few weeks or a month or so it should be pretty healed.
It should be soon after, within an hour. The tongue heals very quickly.
It will, however, be sore for days.
After 1 week or 2
i suggest u call the place were you got it pierced and keep ice on it
How do you stop pain in the toungue of a person with prostate cancer
Usually 6 weeks. But I'm sure you could get away with four weeks, or there may be a way of protecting the piercing so you don't have to stop at all.
This is probably late, but ice it right after you get it pierced. Don't suck on the ice, just let it melt on your tongue. Sucking it will make your tongue swell more. Try not to talk as much cause that makes your tongue swell as well. And try not to eat solid foods. Good luck! I got mine pierced a month ago and I love it now... Sure, it's a pain for the first two weeks but it's all good after like 3 weeks.

Yes, you can have your tongue pierced with braces on. Orthodontists may not agree with it, but they cannot stop you, nor can they make you remove it. There really is no issue with it aside from chipping your teeth if you have it done professionally.
well i got mine pierced today and the piercer said the first two days are the worst but it still hurts for a week, this can change depending on how thin or fat your tongue is, good luck bud.
I am a professional piercer and as long as the piercer is comfortable with piercing a tongue that short, then it IS ok. I have pierced many tongues that could not extend past the teeth or lip. They have healed up fine as well, and no signs of rejection occurred, though the likelihood of rejection raises significantly the closer to the tip of the tongue you are.
A complete healing of tongue piercing can take up to 4 weeks.
If your ear is pierced, the piercing may be infected. You also may have an inner ear infection or you may have slept on your ear when it was folder over and that takes a while to stop hurting.
till it stop hurting
